Raise dough with your MO

So you’ve decided to take the plunge and sport a hairy upper lip for the entire month of the MO. Good for you!

Raising funds with that MO of yours can be done in a number of ways.

Online Donations

Setup your online donations page, or sponsor an existing MO bro.

Card Issues

If you are using a Butterfield debit card, you may be blocked from making an online donation due to their anti-fraud measures. You will need to call their card services department on +1 (345) 815-7527 to get them to allow the transaction. Preferably use a credit card if you have one, which should avoid such problems.

Country Codes

If you have trouble selecting your country code when entering contributor information, please look it up here. Cayman Islands = CYM.  View example of how to fill out the form here.

You also have the option to raise money without having to worry about handling all that cash. Two options are available:

  1. Direct your friends to the Active Giving page in the link above, where they can choose an amount to sponsor you, and then pay by credit or debit card. MOst important, is that they enter your name in the Name of MO Bro you are sponsoring field, so the donation is attributed to you!
  2. For those feeling a bit more adventurous, you can setup your own fundraising page as part of the Movember Active Giving page. Go to the link above, and click Become A Fundraiser at the top of the page. Once you have setup your details, you can then direct your friends and family to that page, which will keep track of your donors, amount raised and your target.

Did you know?

Movember Cayman Islands is the largest donor of the new Chemotherapy Unit build recently in George Town, Grand Cayman.  We donated CI$100,000 towards the unit, which provides a comfortable and relaxing environment for cancer patients to receive treatment, without having to go overseas.

Offline Donations

If you prefer to go old school, you can download a sponsorship form below, and hand it around at work or your next social gathering, and get friends and family to pledge some money to you for taking on the challenge. Best to collect cash when they fill out their details, as playing debt collector towards the end of the month can be a bit of a mission!
